In science we have started to investigate circuits. Our first investigation explored lightbulbs and how we can make them shine brighter.

We hypothesised that more batteries and less bulbs would lead to the bulb shining brighter. We set up our circuits to investigate this. Not all our circuits worked straight away and so we had to work out why! After we figured out where the problems were in our circuits we finally got our bulbs to switch on and discovered that our hypothesis was correct. But why does this happen?

We learned that the higher the voltage that runs through the bulb the brighter it will shine - but if there is too much the bulb will break!

We are excited to continue to explore circuits and find out more.
