Regular attendance is vitally important in enabling a child to make good progress at school. Children missing school will make slower progress and will not realise their potential in years to come. Low attendance affects confidence, self-esteem and a sense of belonging to their class and school.
This page provides links to our own Attendance Policy along with documents provided by the Local Authority and the Department for Education.
We are committed to supporting parents and carers with ensuring that their child's attendance is as high as possible. We encourage discussion with your child's class teacher at the earliest stage to look into the causes of low attendance, many of which can be quickly resolved through partnership working between home and school.
