We were visited by North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service to talk to us about their role as firefighters and how to keep ourselves and our families safe.
They discussed the importance of keeping ourselves safe in the house and the importance of having a working smoke alarm. The children also confirmed their knowledge of keeping themselves safe during Halloween and Bonfire Night. After the talk we went outside and were given the opportunity to look around the fire appliance and observe the fire safety equipment and learn how and what it is used for.
