This half term our Design and Technology project has been bread making. The children began by researching different breads and flavours by participating in a taste test, before designing a bread of their choice. Then the children demonstrated their fine motor skills by grating, peeling and cutting a range of vegetables. Finally they used their mathematical skills to weigh and measure the ingredients to create a bread dough, which they added their chosen flavour to and created a chosen shape. The bread was proved overnight before being placed in the oven to bake. Once out of the oven and cool the best part of all was to eat our bread!
