The children had a special visit from the fire department to talk about staying safe during Dark Nights. They learned how important it is to wear bright clothing and use lights when riding a bike at night, including the difference between a white light for the front and a red light for the back. The firefighter also showed them how to use sparklers safely on Bonfire Night, including putting them out in sand, and reminded everyone to be careful when lighting candles in pumpkins.
