KS2 children from Willow Class joined their friends at Admiral Long CE Primary School for an exciting Stone Age Day. Everyone arrived dressed as Stone Age people, which helped set the scene and made the whole experience feel wonderfully immersive.

We were also very lucky to have a special visitor join us for the day. He brought along an impressive collection of Neolithic tools, talked to the children about how they were used, and answered all of their questions with great enthusiasm. This hands on experience really helped bring the Stone Age to life.

Throughout the day, the children took part in a range of practical activities. They designed and created their own Stone Age style jewellery, carved soap to make prehistoric inspired artefacts, and worked together in the forest to build dens similar to those early settlers might have constructed.

The day was full of creativity, teamwork and adventure. It was fantastic to see KS2 collaborating with friends from across the federation and bringing their history learning to life in such a memorable way.
