Willow class performing thier poem
We had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day. Our focus for the day was the work of Joseph Coelho particularly his anthology A year in Nature. Pupils worked together in pairs and groups to analyse his poetry to help them to be able to write their own. Pupils performed their poems at the end of the day to the whole school. Pupils work will be compiled together to create a whole school nature anthology.
Pupils enjoyed other activities throughout the day including figurative language splat, having the option to read at break in the shelter, A-Z author scavenger hunt and choosing their end of day story.
