Common exception words or tricky words are a key part of learning in Reception and Key Stage 1. They are the sight words that children have to learn because they cannot be sounded out.
We have lots of fun games and activities out in the classroom for children to practise reading and spelling them.
This week the children had to spell them using flower heads because our Science topic is plants.
