NUMBER 17!!
Reception has been exploring all about the number 17.
Together we started by recapping on counting our numbers from 0 - 20. The second time we all had to stop on number 17. After modelling the first one, the children went off to explore the composition of number 17 using numicon. The children worked really hard to work out how many they needed to make 17.
(10 + 7 = 17), (10 + 6 + 1 = 17). (10 + 5 + 2 = 17). (10 + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 17).
