Steve come into Silver Birch to talk to us about numbers and how they grow. We investigated how numbers can grow by finding out how fast our finger nails can grow and how long they could get in a few months. Then repeated the activity for folds in pastry. Our last task was to work out how fast COVID spread across the World. We we’re amazed how quickly it would spread to everyone and that mathematicians have interesting jobs.
